A Message from Gary Edwards
I founded Gary Edwards Remodeling in 1994, with my Father-in-Law. Between us, we have 55 years of experience in designing and creating elegance and beauty in homes. Initially, we built homes, successfully. But I found after a couple years that we were spending more time in general contacting and administration than we wanted. It took me away from the craftsmanship I could personally apply to a smaller project, such as a kitchen or bathroom or an addition. Either completing work myself or using a select group of subcontractors I had worked with for years. People I could trust. People I knew would share the commitment to excellence I wanted to bring to each project.
Id like to share with you some of the principles I apply to my business for each and every project:
· I do use the same subcontractors Ive been working with for years. I trust them. I dont sub work to the lowest bidder for each job to save 2% on the overall project cost. · I set my profit margin the same regardless of the geographic area. I dont overprice in Mequon or Elm Grove because my client might be able to afford it. · I address issues immediately. Proactive communication with my customers is a cornerstone of my business. Nothing delays a project more than concerns by a client that are not addressed at once. I do monitor every project very closely. I do address issues immediately so you can count on timely job completion. · We have grown consistently but never to the point we have taken on more than we could handle. This means we can focus on a project until it is finished, rather than stretching our craftsmen over several projects. This, plus addressing issues immediately, is why we finish practically all our projects when we say we will. · I believe in the life value of my customers. None of us like it when weve invested several thousand dollars for a project and we never see or hear from the contractor again. I believe a customer is a customer for life. And thats the way we treat all our clients. And why so much of our business is based on referrals from our life-long customers.
Id like to sit down and discuss your project. All contactors would. We all say youll have a quality project at a fair price and it will be completed on time.
But I really mean and do what I say I will do. And I can give you a long list of clients who will confirm this.
